Read John
14:6
|
Dependable people are trustworthy. You can count on them. They do what they say they are going to do; they don't do what they say they are not going to do. And though no mere human in this world is completely trustworthy, one man lived a life of thorough dependability: the God-man, Jesus Christ. "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again" (John 3:3). A hard saying, but uttered by One whose words are utterly dependable. Do you trust Him? "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life" (John 5:24). A word of encouragement for all those who will come to Jesus. Do you trust Him? "If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins" (John 8:24). A word of warning for all those who refuse His call. Do you trust Him? (Article continues below...)
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). A self-description that should cause every trusting heart to leap and every unbelieving heart to fear. Do you trust Him? Jesus is the only way to God, the utterly dependable One, the Source of eternal life. Trust Him this weekend by giving Him your whole heart in worship. |
