Cure for brokenness |

Romans 5:9-11
|
Broken relationships. Broken promises. Broken marriages. Broken families. Broken hearts. Broken dreams. Broken trust. Broken is a word we use a lot, especially when we're describing people's relationships and commitments. "Our hearts
are restless until they find their rest in thee," St. Augustine
said. (Article continues below...)
But that's not the end of the story. The gospel is a healing message of reconciliation with the God whom we have so deeply offended. The apostle Paul assured believers in Rome that all who place their faith in the reconciling work of Jesus Christ can be confident that their estrangement with God is over. "If, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" (Romans 5:10). |
